BIRTH: John Barton's son William was born at Pilling (about 5 miles west of Garstang). This scheme fits nicely showing John having other children christened in Woodplumpton, Broughton, and Garstang. All of these parishes are very close together.

CHRISTENING: John Barton, male, christened 21 Mar 1686, Broughton Near Preston, Lancashire, England; his father listed as Henry Barton.
