Gilbert Barton is the heir of Thomas Barton. Gilbert of Barton, and Elizabeth Scaresbrick. had issue: Thomas (his heir), Christofer (appointed keeper of Lancaster castle, 1442, Preston Guild, 1459), and Ellen.
