Thomas Barton died 7 May 1848 at the infirmary (hospital), Piccadily, Manchester. His home address was 2 White Street, Every Street, Ancoats. Cause of death listed as "cutting his throat under insanity. NOTE: His age was listed as 48 (this was 46 years 11 months after his christening, not his birth date).
